A sliding double mirrored barn door feature to close off the condo bathroom door. This client uses a wheelchair and accessing their bathroom was always a challenge because of the limited space to turn into the bathroom and the obstructing door which was always getting hit, as you can see in the photos.
I decided to install a custom-fit barn door, the door itself is not custom but the hardware to fix the sliding track above to hold the door had to be customized to fit the small wall space.
I was able to just fit a 33-inch barn door, with exactly enough space to open completely and not have any overflow beyond the end of the wall. I had 66 inches and the door was 33 inches so it fit just perfectly. I had to saw down the top track to accommodate this, seeing as the barn door hardware track only came 78 inches long but I cut it down to 66 inches.
